Position Location: Southside Virginia Region
The Vice President, Center for Manufacturing Advancement will lead strategic programs and projects that drive manufacturing advancement and optimization at CMA. This senior leadership role ensures the execution of impactful programs, fosters industry relationships, and champions the CMA brand. The VP will guide teams to deliver excellence while promoting continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and business growth.
This role will manage five direct reports to include the Optimization, Center of Excellence, Quality, and Digital Manufacturing teams.

- Lead the CMA team to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery; optimize resource utilization while fostering team engagement and satisfaction; and enhance the visibility and reputation of the CMA brand.
- Drive revenue growth by strengthening industry relationships, converting leads into long-term partnerships, renewing or expanding existing collaborations, and preventing partnership attrition.
- Lead and mentor the CMA team to identify opportunities, set goals, and execute high-impact projects.
- Align strategies with business objectives and collaborate with leadership on project prioritization.
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs, ensuring timely, on-budget completion.
- Manage resources and stakeholder relationships, resolving escalated issues as needed.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
- Develop and implement best practices to enhance manufacturing impact, efficiency, and value proposition.
- Track KPIs, manage project risks, and ensure financial performance aligns with goals.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all programs and projects, adhering to governance and compliance standards, as well as CMA QMS.
- Represent CMA at industry visits, conferences, and external engagements.
- Develop a consistent communication cadence with program stakeholders, industry partners, and technology partners.
- Act as a subject matter expert and key point of contact for tours, visits, and media activities around the CMA.
- Cultivate partnerships, drive business growth, and increase CMA’s industry exposure.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- 10+ years in program and project management, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
- Proven experience managing large, complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong financial acumen and familiarity with government projects, programs, and grants.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
